Adjourn - 11:00 AM The purpose of this meeting is to conduct the governmental business outlined in the above agenda. The purpose of this meeting is to conduct the governmental business outlined in the above agenda. The Ethics Subcommittee will report recommendations to the SDMAC, which is an advisory committee appointed by the DHS Secretary under ss. 15.04 (1) (c) and 252.02 (6), Stats. The SDMAC is responsible for developing and providing guidelines for hospitals, out-of-hospital facilities and providers, and alternate care sites on the allocation of scare resources during a public health emergency, and advising the DHS Secretary on those issues. The SDMAC created the Ethics Subcommittee to develop a statement of guiding ethical principles for distribution of scarce resources. The Ethics Subcommittee’s guiding principles will be elevated to SDMAC and, if approved by SDMAC, will inform future subcommittees charged with developing guidelines for ethical allocation of scarce resources.
