The state disaster medical advisory committee (SDMAC) is an advisory committee appointed by the DHS Secretary under ss. 15.04 (1) (c) and 252.02 (6), stats. The SDMAC is responsible for developing and providing guidelines for hospitals, out-of-hospital facilities and providers, and alternate care sites on the allocation of scare resources, also known as crisis standards of care, during a public health emergency.
