The purpose of this meeting is to conduct the governmental business outlined in the above agenda. The purpose of the Department of Health Services (DHS) AEIAC is provided in s. 230.06 (1) (j), Stats., which states that an agency employing 50 or more employees shall create an affirmative action advisory committee which shall advise the appointing authority concerning programs designed to ensure equal opportunity to all employees, applicants for employment and clients of the agency. The DHS AEIAC will advise the DHS Secretary on affirmative action, equal employment opportunities and inclusion issues impacting the agency; and review equity and inclusion-related policies, procedures, and practices and recommend positive solutions to ensure equal opportunities for current and potential employees.
