The Wisconsin Council on Birth Defect Prevention and Surveillance was created under Wisconsin Statute 253.12 for the purposes written there and has the following mission: to advise the Department of Health Services regarding the Wisconsin Birth Defects Prevention and Surveillance program as outlined in Wisconsin Statute 253.12.
