Construction update meeting scheduled for WIS 42 improvements in Door County Work scheduled to begin fall of 2019 (Door County) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces a construction update meeting to discuss upcoming highway work on WIS 42 from Bluff Lane in Gibraltar to Country Walk Drive in Sister Bay. WIS 42 Public Construction Update Meeting • When: 5 to 6 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2019 • Where: Gibraltar Middle School - Middle School Gymnasium, 3942 State Highway 42, Fish Creek • Why: To review project staging, traffic impacts, detour routes, business signing, project communications during construction. The proposed improvements to WIS 42 include roadway resurfacing, adding sidewalk and lighting in Gibraltar, curb ramp upgrades, beamguard replacement, curb, gutter, and storm sewer improvements. The project is scheduled to start in fall of 2019 and finish in spring of 2020. Additional information can be found on the project website at https://projects.511wi.gov/wis42recon/.
