Please join DHS staff in a discussion on plans for increased funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to support Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) across the state. HCBS programs include helping seniors and people with disabilities live independently outside of institutions by providing the supports they need to live independently in the community. During the call, DMS will provide an overview of the legislation, review federal guidance, and ask for feedback on ways the funds might be utilized to strengthen the Medicaid HCBS system in Wisconsin. Currently, states must submit a proposed spending plan to CMS by July 11, 2021. Recognizing your leadership roles as part of the Governor’s Health Equity Council, we are interested in getting your feedback on how to ensure that this funding is distributed in an equitable manner.
Reasonable accommodations, including the provision of informational material in an alternative format, will be provided for qualified individuals with disabilities upon request. This agency, to the maximum extent possible, holds all meetings in facilities that are physically accessible to persons with disabilities. For questions about accessibility, contact the meeting's sponsoring division.
