Public involvement meeting scheduled for proposed bridge replacement in Shawano County (Bonduel) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) North Central Region announces a public involvement meeting to discuss proposed bridge replacement on WIS 156 over Herman Creek in the town of Lessor, Shawano County. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 9, 2020, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Lessor Town Hall, W4055 Landstad Road in Bonduel. A short project introduction will begin at 5 p.m. The remainder of the meeting will follow an open-house format. The current structure on WIS 156 over Herman Creek is experiencing structural deficiencies and nearing the end of its service live. Construction is currently scheduled to begin summer 2023 but could occur as early as summer 2022. A detour is proposed for structure work. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the meeting to review proposed project details, displays and exhibits, ask questions, and provide comment that may assist WisDOT during project design. WisDOT staff will also be available to discuss the project on an individual basis. The meeting facility is wheelchair accessible. Persons who are deaf or hard of hearing and who require an interpreter may request one by contacting Stacy at least three working days prior to the meeting via the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay System (dial 711).
