Public Involvement Meeting for US 53 and County Y intersection in Douglas County Meeting will provide project information and encourage community feedback. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northwest Region is announcing a public involvement meeting to discuss safety improvements for the intersection of US 53 and CTH Y in the Town of Gordon, Douglas County. The meeting is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 29th, 2019 at the Gordon Town Hall located at 9709 East County Road Y, Gordon, WI 54838. The meeting will be conducted in an open-house format with a short presentation at 6:00 pm. This project includes: • Resurfacing US 53 northbound from County T to the St. Croix River • Reconstruction of the intersection of US 53 and County Y in Gordon as a restricted U-turn intersection Construction is currently scheduled for 2020. The public is encouraged to attend the April 29th meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. There will be a variety of exhibits and maps available for review at the meeting. Representatives of WisDOT will be on hand to answer questions throughout the evening. Attendees will have the option of making written or verbal comments during the meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, contact Brendan Dirkes, Project Manager, at (715) 395-3026. Citizens who are hearing-impaired and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Brendan Dirkes at least three working days prior to the meeting via the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay System (dial 711).
