(9:25-9:35) Old Business The Council will review the recommendation cycle and next steps with the 2018 Smart Investments. (9:35-9:50) Pritzker grant overview The Wisconsin Early Childhood Association (WECA) was recently award a planning grant from the Pritzker Children’s Initiative to develop a policy agenda to expand the availability of high-quality infant and toddler child care. Jennie Mauer from DPI and Amanda Reeve from DCF will give a brief overview of the grant the potential for the council to be involved. (9:50-10:00) Break (10:00-11:55) Needs Assessment Presentations Presentation on the primary prevention of child maltreatment through the use of a spectrum of family support based on the five protective factors, with an emphasis on evidence-based parent education, including Triple P by Becky Mather from Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board, Joshua Mersky from UW-Milwaukee Helen Bader School of Social Work, and Paula Breese from Family and Childcare Resources of N.E.W.
