Public Involvement Meeting scheduled for WIS 47 in Oneida County The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss proposed improvements to WIS 47, from Kildeer road in Oneida County to the Vilas County line. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2020, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Woodruff Town Hall, 1418 1st Avenue, Woodruff, Wisconsin. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m. The remainder of the meeting will follow an open house format. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the purpose and need for the project and to obtain feedback on proposed improvements. Proposed improvements include removal and replacement of asphalt, beam guard replacement, culvert replacements, and installation of centerline rumble strips. Improvements also include replacement of curb and gutter and curb ramps in Lake Tomahawk and Woodruff. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in spring 2022. Adjacent property and business owners are encouraged to attend the meeting. The meeting facility is wheelchair accessible. Deaf or hard of hearing persons needing assistance should contact the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay system (dial 711).
