Current rules establish properties as closed areas and wildlife refuges. These designations restrict the public's ability to access these properties for activities during specific dates. The DNR has re-evaluated many of these properties to assess if these closed area and refuge designations are still warranted. This hearing will provide the updated, proposed refuge and closed area designations for DNR owned/managed properties throughout the state. Additional hearings will be held July 29 in Superior, July 30 in Milladore and August 1 in Horicon.
