Context:  (Purpose, Vision, Mission, Goal):

The primary purpose of the Council is to inform and advise the Governor, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the Wisconsin State Legislature, and people of Wisconsin on prioritized public health issues important to the needs and wants of the public in a manner that is equitable, inclusive, and responsive to the diversity of the State. This work will include attention and advice on the progress implementing the state’s public health plan and coordination of responses to public health emergencies.

  • Reminder all Council members are encouraged to be involved in a sub-committee.

Per Bylaws:

 

  • The Nominating Committee will consist of three members, appointed by the Chair, by November 1st of every odd calendar year. The Committee will then prepare a list of candidates and submit the list to the Council no later than two weeks before the election.

 

  • Members of the Council who are not on the Nominating Committee may nominate themselves or other Council members.  Members of the Nominating Committee may not run for office. Additional nominations may be directed to the Nominating Committee, to be received by that committee no later than thirty (30) days prior to the election.

 

If interested in being nominated for Chair Elect or Secretary, you are ineligible to join the Nominating Committee.
