The purpose of this meeting is to conduct the governmental business outlined in the above agenda. The purpose of the Medicaid Member Experience Council (MMEC) is to advise the Medicaid agency on key initiatives that affect Medicaid program administration, policy or services. The MMEC advises the Wisconsin Medicaid team on how Medicaid coverage is working, gaps, and potential solutions. The MMEC provides feedback on specific policies, initiatives and proposed program changes brought forward by DMS. The MMEC also advises on issues that they identify and bring forward. The MMEC is governed under 42 CFR 431.12. MMEC ambassadors include current and recent Medicaid members and their caregivers from across

Wisconsin. MMEC ambassadors reflect the variety of experiences of Wisconsin’s Medicaid members, and work with the Medicaid Advisory Council (MAC) to improve the program. Meetings are open to the public.
