Open Meeting Notice Governor’s Early Childhood Advisory Council: Strategic Planning Meeting Lussier Family Heritage Center 3101 Lake Farm Road, Madison, WI August 14, 2019 9:00-3:00 Agenda (9:00-9:30) Welcome, Call to Order, and Introductions (9:30-10:30) Orientation to the Day The council will review the current recommendation cycle, review and discuss the new process for presenting to the council, review the three focus needs assessment areas: (1) access to child care, (2) suspension/expulsion/infant and early childhood mental health consultation, and (3) family support and prevention; and develop ECAC workgroup plans. (10:30-10:45) Break (10:45-11:15) Needs Assessment Information and Forward Movement Review, discuss what has been learned during the needs assessment and identify areas for continued focus. (11:15-11:45) Identified Focus Areas: Workgroups and Planning Identify workgroup membership and begin developing a work plan for the year. (11:45-12:30) Lunch (12:30-1:30) Workgroups Planning Continues Continue to map out the work plan for the upcoming year. (1:30-1:45) Break (1:45-2:45) Endorsement Process Facilitated discussion regarding the council’s potential role related to endorsement of related early childhood initiatives/work.
