The purpose of this meeting is to conduct the governmental business outlined in the above agenda. The Wisconsin Council on Birth Defect Prevention and Surveillance was created under Wisconsin Statute 253.12 for the purposes written there and has the following mission: to advise the Department of Health Services regarding the Wisconsin Birth Defects Prevention and Surveillance program as outlined in Wisconsin Statute 253.12. The Wisconsin Council on Birth Defect Prevention and Surveillance was also appointed as the advisory committee under Wis. Stat. § 227.13 for Statement of Scope SS 081-24, which proposes revisions to ch. DHS 116, relating to the Wisconsin Birth Defect Prevention and Surveillance System. The Wisconsin Council on Birth Defect Prevention and Surveillance will convene as the advisory committee when noticed in the agenda.
